Our Daimler Ute: Build History

George Barns was a very talented body builder, who wasn’t content with the traditional New Zealand back yard method of coach building. Which can be seen by the classical flowing lines from the front of the vehicle through to side of vehicle which are continued own to the rear of the vehicle the rear.

The Iconic Daimler Dart

The Daimler SP250 is a sports car built by the Daimler Company, a British manufacturer in Coventry, from 1959 to 1964. It was the last car to be launched by Daimler before its parent company, the Birmingham Small Arms Company (BSA), sold it to Jaguar Cars in 1960.

Jaguar Suspends Production Due to Covid-19

Car giant Jaguar Land Rover is to suspend production at its UK plants because of the Coronavirus crisis. The company said production will be temporarily halted over the course of next week, with the intention to resume on April 20, subject to review of the “rapidly-changing circumstances.”

Frederick Lanchester was responsible for building the first four-wheel all-British car in 1895. A truly visionary mechanical engineer he lived in Birmingham for much of his life Frederick will forever be associated with Coventry.
